NBA News: Dennis Schröder stands after knee problems before comeback - Celtics

Celtics coach Ime Udoka has given by Dennis Schröder s all-clear with respect to the attached knee. The German Point Guard will return to training this week and could also reveal again on Wednesday in Preseason.

Schröder had missed the game of Celtics against the Raptors on the weekend due to a knee prolongation. He just fell a few days ago in training, Celtics coach Udoka explained after a light training session on Sunday.

He has tested his knee before the game, but did not feel particularly comfortable, I wanted to be careful, that s just a preseason game, Udoka explained. Schröder should return to training on Monday, also with regard to a mission on Wednesday against the Magic, the Head Coach showed optimistic. We ll test it tomorrow and then we know more.

Schröder had celebrated his debut in the jersey of the Celtics last week in the preseason prelude of Celtics, but had certain start-up difficulties (6 points at 1/7 FG). He expired the second preseason game.

Now for Boston there are two more test matches before the start of the season on October 19th. In the night on Thursday, the Celtics again play against the Magic and Schröders Landsmen Moritz and Franz Wagner, in the night on Saturday, the conclusion against the Miami Heat.

Ime Udoka on Horford: Schröder could possibly move up to the starter after his bank roll against the Raptors, because Guard Jaylen Brown is currently missing due to a positive Corona test. Udoka announced to experiment with his lineups: We talked about it in training and want to try if it works in the game with Dennis and Payton (Pritchard, Note d. Red.). Then we have two playmakers and natural Paytons skills as a shooter. We want to test whether this smaller lineup works.
